Cover box, the unique Pay As You Drive car insurance company in the UK has chosen Orange to develop its m2m based solution. Insurance costs are based on the drivers' driving patterns. An m2m SIM card is installed in the car which monitors driving patterns: how many miles people drive, when they drive and how they drive. This solution allows drivers to consult on internet their driving pattern and adapt it accordingly to reduce their bills.

an innovative car-sharing concept.
Valeo NFC Access System is a concept made available to manufacturers wishing to offer new car-sharing practice to their customers.
The Valeo NFC Access System is the result of a partnership between Orange Business Services and Valeo which makes it possible for several drivers to share a car.
The system is based on Near Field Communication (NFC), contact-free technology. It makes it possible to transfer an ignition key temporarily to a mobile handset; to manage a booking system on-line easily and to open and start a car using a mobile handset according to the same security standards as the original key.
